Rio de Janeiro. Mosteiro de Sao Bento (famous monastery). Created in 1590 by Benedictine monks from Bahia, being the second religious order to be established in Rio de Janeiro. It has rich gold decoration, with gilded wood carvings made between 1694 and 1734. We missed the Gregorian chants.
